These are racks of magnetic audio tape players used to play magnetic tapes and the sound then goes to the computer and is edited and converted to the MPEG-2 Audio Layer III, which is commonly refered t0 as MP3.

These are the cds that store the digital formats of what used to be in those magnetic tapes, cassettes as well as gramophone records.
